Default speakers and cd player??

Need some nice speakers and acd player for my 1997 5.7liter dodge truck. Not sure what the stock sizes run in it but looking to replace all of them. My question is are there and good nice bass speakers out there with some mid-range too. I think there are 4 speakers in the truck correct me if i am wrong but just trying to get rid of the huge radio and need some bass. Looking to to spend over $300 dollars any help thanks.

You must mean a 5.9 and yes it has 4 speakers......if its not the Infinity system. I would suggest a mid-line Pioneer for the deck. And now I would spend more on the fronts and not get rear fill...but if you want all 4, I installed these fosagte speakers recently and was really impressed with them. http://www.cardomain.com/item/ROCP152C

A tad over 300....but I think it would work good for you.

I just put a pioneer deh-p5901b Premier (has the ipod hook up and controls it thru the dash) What A difference, when I did that my door speakers sounded so much better and now I am not even going to change them. I think they sounded like crap just because they were underpowered by the factory stereo.

also go to crutchfields website. You can type in your vehicle and year and they will give you all the speaker sizes, and options for outfitting your soundsystem. They ship there items with insallation guides and mounting equip.

Well....since you have the Infnity radio you have tweeters in the a-pillar and the woofer in the door... I suggest going with 6 1/2 components for the front then. You will also need bypass the amp.....I dont see the point in replacing the factory radio with an aftermarket if you are still going to get the same sound for the most part....you will get more crossover settings and eq...but its still being powered by the same amp.

If you dont bypass the factory amp....if you get a different amp of course it will sound better.
