Default One 12" or two 10" subs?

I am changing out the sound system in my '04 Ram QuadCab, and I found two boxes at a local audio shop for pretty cheap that fit under the rear seat of the quad cab. I can get it cut for two 10" subs, but it only gives each speaker .60 cu. ft. of airspace. Or I can get it cut for 1 12" sub, and give it 1.0+ of airspace, not to mention save me some money. Do you guys thinkone 12" would sound just as good as two 10"s?

I personallywould have to gowith 2 10" subs, you will have at least 8" morecone surface than 1 12". Sub of choice wouldeither be Kicker CVR or CVT, Pending on the amplifier of your choice.

Two 10's is what I would go also, but it seems like he wants to save money and one 12 will still sound very good.

im considering the same. trying to figure out if i want to spend a ton of money on one nice 12 or split it and get two 10s. if i go with just one 12, why not go with the hotbox? what sub would you reccomend with the hotbox? 10 or 12?

Its up to you really...but if I was doing a single sub I would do a 12. I have no clue about the specs on the hot box......so I cant really say what would work with it.

i prefer the sound from two 10's. I figure that if you're spending the money to change up your current setup, go for something you'll really be pleased with. I like Infinity P2's, i think they are Infinity PII 1030 or osmething like that. They pound hard, and can take a beating, and a good price.

2 10's "look" better. but it all depends on what you plan on getting.

so, for the 12" option, what sub?

for the 2 10" option, what subs?
