Default HELP ASAP!!

Alright I was wiring aftermarket headlights up on a friends eclipse I ran a power wire alongside the power wire for the amplifier. When I was pulling the smaller wire through the fire wall it scraped some of the covering off and when i put the negative battery terminal back it sparked really bad right at the firewall.. The casing on the wire for the amp got melted a little but it appears that there isn't any of its wire exposed... But now the subwoofers are not working the power light comes on on the amplifier but no bass... The fuse right after the battery appears to be fine and the fuse on the amp is fine what could be the problem?

Unlikely. Doesnt sound like it exposed anystrands on the amp wiring. Even if you did get a ground fault on the power wire, it wouldnt blow the subs, theres no siganl, it would just blow the fuse on the power wire. And posibly damage the amp, but it shouldnt.

Where did you tie in for the positive and negative for the headlights? I assume you were running the + wire through the firewall to hook to the headlight switch?? Anything else not working? Elaborate for us. What was the wire for?

cmon guys
grommets cost less than .99 cents
your lucky it sparked right then --otherwise
it could have been a fire while you or some one
else was driving--
not to sound like a smart -SS
i just see it all the time , and it is dangerous

put it back together the right way
once you figure out the problem
g/l

Very true! And if you ARE running the wire directly to the headlight switch, or any switch, you really should have a relay!

Did you take the fuses out and test them? They could still be popped and not look like it. Continuity test.
