So now that we know that almost production ready versions are floating around.....where and when will the first ones hit? The option on the dodge website is gone and has been gone for a while. Any additional news floating around?

ive still not heard any real news about release or full production...

Me neither. There still is no word on it's production availability and it isn't on Dodges' website under the Caliber, but it is still listed under their SRT vehicles section with no info on release date and they've oddly removed the 300 horsepower rating it use to have and it now only mentions that it will have 260 torque with absolutely no mention of it's horsepower at all.

The destructive wheel hop issue is probably forcing them to reduce it's horsepower and the torque rating is only 10 more than the previous SRT-4's under-rating of 250 torque. It will probably end up being basically the same as the previous SRT-4's output, but with more honest and realistic ratings of 265-275 horsepower.

71rr...do you suppose that they are scraping the "caliber srt4 with 300hp" idea, since dodge makes mention of an upcoming awd turbo option for the avenger? i mean, the way that i see it...one way to take care of huge wheel hop is to spread the power over four wheels...
