A true spypic... of at least the 2005 Charger NASCAR

One thing I notice and could be minor is the shape of the rear window that is similar to the shap of the rear window in the car and driver pic. The hood for a cup car I think is supposed to come from Dodge. So this is a good indication of a general idea of the front end.

also the grill on this car is a lot lower than the current Dodge that is in Nascar. If you look at other pics you can tell there is a big difference. That is why I think the front end of the Car and Driver pic is a little off.
Well you beat me to the post! But, I don't know, I just hope to God, DaimlerChrysler, doesn't screw up the Charger name. I mean people, think of Charger as the "icon" of the whole Dodge brand, even when it doesn't exsist anymore! But, it still puzzles me, we know more about the ME-412, than we do about the 2005 Charger production car.

i still like the original concept for the charger that they had a few years ago. the 2 + 2 hidden door version. that was an alright looking car. the car and driver version looks like a juiced up magnum. not a big fan of it.

Alternatively, the lazy reader can get his butt over to Allpar, where this pic was dissected (with insider input) last night, for a much clearer understanding of what Dodge is up to. :-)

To me, if you look at the side view of Mears' test car, the profile looks like the current NASCAR Intrepid...but from the front the nose looks like the NASCAR Monte Carlos. I think the test car is a current model Dodge (with a different rear window) with a Chevy nose on it.
