Why does every one think this is the new RAM?
Sure looks like the new Dakota to me???

 

Thing is, now that I know theyre toying around with a Jeep pickup again (a 1/2 cab wrangler no less) I really dont care what happens to the ram/dakota. They can paint them all pink with yellow polka dots and turn them into those dorky 3 wheel pickup things they have in japan so long as that JT concept gets built! And with a hemi.

 

Too big and bulky to be a Dakota.

 

They're getting rid of that "semi-truck" look? It looks like all the other trucks--a brick.

I take my comment back! I looked again without any beer and yes it
does look to be to big. I don't know what Dodge is doing.
Every thing is startingto look the same. They have almost the same front ends?

Look at the so called new Magnum and Dakota and now the Rams.
Oh well......

 

I think the new dakota (2008 model) is a step in the right direction.
ill admit that dodge royally screwed up the magnum, it looked fine as is.

as for the ram im holding my opinion untill I see the whole thing uncovered, should be interesting.

 

With the new ownership, we should be seeing a lot of changes in the next few years........

Hey everyone Iam new to this site and Iam a proud dodge ram owner and dodge dakota owner. As for the making the ram the king of full size trucks there are a few things that chrysler must do. 1st off The Ram must have more power than any other half ton on the market that means across the board from the base model to the top level model. Second the ram must look good and by that I mean it must be the best looking model on the market because thats what chrysler is known best for cutting edge styling. 3rd chrysler must make the ram unique as in have something in there trucks that no one else has now the cummings isa great first step but you cant stop there since dodge can now claim the longest lasting full size truck on the market then back it up give a 7 year 100000 mile warranty. Chrysler has to not just leap ahead of everyone else they must be years ahead. Chrysler if your listening you need to get this one right your company can't afford to mess this one up.

 

I for one trust Dodge to come up with a kick as body for there cash cow the ram 1500 pickups. The only thing i don't want to see is a return to the blant 1970 thru 1990 style. You knowthe years were you had to look at the tailgate to see who made it because all the chevy,gmc,ford and dodge trucks looked the same.
