I read about this in the paper yesterday, and laughed. You still get what you pay for. Do you really want the same people that put your eletrictronic devices that crap out every few years to build the car you put your family into? Not me. Give me my american iron thank you very much. Chrysler should shelf this whole plan. Chrysler wants you to buy american, then so should they.

... and use paint that contains lead in your childrens toys, and produces faulty tires.... and list goes on and on. Good old China, lets just keep losing jobs to them, and buy more of their crap .

Damn, you can get a crappy enough car from Hyundai. The bad thing is, there's a market for cheap cars even if theyre sub-Yugo in quality and whoever breaks the seal on this first stands to make a huge profit.

I really think the Hornet is a decent enough idea, seeing as how the other B-type cars have been strong sellers. But a modified Caliber would make a lot better basis for it, IMHO.
