Bid on Challenger #2!
No, that car has gone through every audit under the sun. Everything should be perfect on that one. In fact it probably has already come off the line and is at HQ getting the once over.
I'm talking about the recall issues that no one can detect until the car is driven in a real world arena. Audits don't cure that. If they did, car makers would save billions of dollars.......

Most cars don't see these audits, only maybe 1-3 percent of all cars built get the rundown. You may be right though Jim. But it is basically just putting a new body on an old chassis.
Iagree. It will be interesting to see how it performs once it goes into full production.......especially under a new owner.

that car wil not be driven more than 1000 miles in the next 30 years, I don't think recalls are gonna be an issue.
the new challenger won't become "affordable" for a couple more years, collectors and rich fanatics will keep the price near cloud nine for a while

i dont know that i agree with how LONG the price will stay high. if the rumors of a 2008 model being a short run, that will get the old guys with too much money out of the way...like the ones who paid double the sticker value for the new GT500s. that will be basically the same group buying theearly challengers for huge markups. if they do indeed make a small batch of no-option 2008 challengers, and then begin on the 2009 models, the price will certainly spike, but it will calm down once the "collectors" are out of the way and those who actually have the testicular fortitude to DRIVE the car will be able to get them off the lot.
