RE: Killing the Viper...
it is sad that the viper is going, and it is also sad that the magnum is going too. The magnum was a manly sation wagon. The charger and challenger will keep dodge going along with the ram. I do hope they will bring the viper back when dodge gets back on their feet along with the neon.

You must live in the desert
No, it's a come on, like the Corvette, to get people into the showroom. At my dealer, they always have one "dressed up" with ribbons or balloons or whatever, for an upcoming holiday........

RE: Killing the Viper...
you know its funny this is still a topic... I have driven many vipers and most of the people that have stopped me wonder what it is and who makes it. Meaning that a majority of the people who cant afford it anyway, have not a clue what it is much less who makes it... so the whole theory of the "halo" car bringing in the name recognition for a manuis pretty much a bunch of whooey. Chrysler is more likely to become better known thru Dodge Chargers pulling everybody over for traffic offenses now that they are starting to saturate the law enforcement market than they are through producing the Viper which they arent and havent been making a profit from since day 1.
But all this matter little if Chrysler gets all chopped into little pieces and sold off bit by bit to the highest bidder.

In honour of the Viper's execution I did up a little tribute to the classic series - Dodge on TV - VIPER edition
