In theory roundabouts are great. I live in So Arizona (bluehair central) and can tell you that anyone over the age of 60 will f**k up a roundabout. We have two down here and both of them are a nightmare when the bluehairs get on them. They stop, blocking both lanes, waiting for traffic to clear. They (several times) thought that because there were 2 lanes, they could "turn left" to save time. Finally, they think all traffic in the circle MUST yield to them when they enter the circle. There is a reasonwhy EVERY intersection in bluehair central has stop lights: old people cannot fathom the concept, much less master the usage of traffic control without stoplights. Take the licenses from EVERY driver over 60 and every aspect of fuel economy and traffic will fix itself.

Well youre on the right track. Just like you have to get a CDL to drive large trucks, I think that the drivers tests are a joke as it is: Make people prove they can drive a real car, when too young or too old, they should have to test more often. And your skills should limit what kind of car you can drive. This'll keep all the crap they mandate to ALL cars off of the enthusiasts' machines, make things safer, and result in better mpg for everyone.
