There are special packages only offered in certain dealer zones. Apparently, the GTX is one of these - which makes sense since I never heard of it!
Ok...on Pickuptruck.com...the top of the screen says 2006 model year...the rest of the article says 2005...which one is it? I'd assume a 2005 since it looks like the current model, when it's suppose to be refreshened for the 2006 model year.
It's a 2005 1/2. I'm guessing the 2006 refresh and/or the Mega cab will be revealed at the Chicago show, based on the pickup.com article.
no..i know what a GTX ram is...i wanted to know who la west is, and why theyre being contracted to paint trucks for dodge, because that is essentially what theyre doing...
What I'd like to see on these Dodge rams are fender Skirts. I had a 89 Ford Super cab long bed and it was lowered a little. When I got a set of Fender skirts put on the truck my gas mileage went up about three mpg. Not bad for a tank. So what's Dodge waiting for.The fin on the back, a fancy hood ,and fender Skirts.
"Included in the Daytona package will be the 5.7-liter Hemi engine, 5-speed automatic transmission and 3.92:1 rear axle ratio."
I think Dodge needs to get with it a little. Use the 6.1 in this. They already have the 5.7 in most trucks as it is. Thats one of the things I don't like about the Rumble Bee, pretty much the same equipment as you can get on a regular Ram. If their gonna make a "special" Ram, than make it special already. At least they could up the power on the 5.7 if they use it.
I mean, I like the look of the truck, but do a little more with it than glue some sticker on it, change the paint, put a spoiler on it, and call it "special." (Hmm.. oddly reminds me of what ricers do)
I went to the Auto Show today and nobody even gave it a second look. It was just a tacky plastic add on package. More abuse of good names.
I gave it a second look. I agree though that there should be some improvememnts to the engine. The original Rumble Bee was special. It was a 5.7L HEMI but it had 500HP with after market upgrades. Which the upgrades you could add yourself would be cheaper than the final Rumble Bee released by Dodge.
