I totally dont like that center console design in a single cab truck. That is a tremendous waste of space where you could have a 3rd passenger sitting. Its fine in the 4 door models but a very bad idea in a single cab. Of course Chrysler hasnt been focusing on single cab buyers for years now anyway. I like the outside and would honestly think about trading up to a new body styled single cab unless they go with this feature on all the different versions(SLT, R/T, whatever). Otherwise I will just continue to look forward to the '09 Challenger R/T, after all it seats 5.
I think regular cab trucks look silly. Still loving the new model though. If I decide to get another new truck,Ill actually look at the Dodge, something not even previously a possibility. Still, Chryslers past quality issues and their present sad state of affairs make me lean towards a Crew Cab Titan w/ the 7' 3" bed or maybe a Tundra. But Ill at least check out the dodge.
Is it true that dodge took away the man. trans. option? Is it only going to be the center console or collar shifting?

This new ram is pretty hot, I think. But the no manual trans would prolly keep me away.

Man you've got to be kidding! Reg cab/shortbeds are pickups in their purest form. Anything else is a huge setback to styling. A crewcab with a very short bed like an SUT at least looks acceptable, where an extended cab looks like a limosine.
