Why do people immediately feel the need to try and discount it? I can go to a dealer and buy either car and drive it on the road legally with no modifications (well I'd have to win the lottery first ).
Gearing does mean squat. It is all the pieces added together than make the car, it is just one piece I pointed out that gets over looked.
In the grand scheme of things, gearing is important, but what I meant was that the two cars are so evenly matched that the gearing is moot at this point.

I will again disagree with this comment as well. The ACR is a limited option for the Viper, it is not a STOCK upgrade. More to the point, by Dodge's OWN information, it is a race prepped version of the Viper. It's not a stock Viper.
My whole point is the ZR1 is the replacement for the Z06, which is the direct competion for the Viper.
Is this impressive? Sure as hell is. Do I expect the Vette to come back and win? Sure as hell do. Why? Because there's no way GM would invest the money it did into this car and have it beat by the Viper.
