Sold to the highest bidder?
i would rather neither of them get deal and chrysler stay on their own (i know not likely to happen but would be AWESOME)
ya i dont want to go jap crap but also dont want to let gm get rid of dodge dont know which would be better at this point

Nissan wants a partnership, GM wants to eat Chrysler for whatever they can get to save themselves and kill the rest. Either option sucks but I'd rather see Nissan. Look on the bright side, Nissan has a real good V6. Chrysler could use one of those.
The Jap cars I build are more American made and built than alot of the GM cars. Plus we still get raises and no talk of pay cuts. It's a shame when you have to buy foriegn cars to support america. What happened to the old days when jap cars were ran off the road and boy cotted, and our cars were built here.
It is official, Cerberus is marketing Chrysler openly to GM. Here is how open, the Wall Street Journal is getting in the act:http://blogs.wsj.com/deals/2008/10/2...focus-on-cars/. God d*mn Cerberus to H*ll. They ought to be hung and then boiled in their own juices if they do this. WP is rolling in his grave. I'm going to have a drink, now. I didn't want to even let the thought of losing Chrysler enter my mind. Now I know I was idealistic and naive God D*mn them!
They would have run it into the ground or broken it up and sold it by now, they already sucked the life out of Chrysler, they got what they wanted.
How can anyone think GM is a good idea? GM is in a worse position than Chrysler right now, as to the argument that they have a decent lineup, exactly. They don't want Chrysler for Chrysler's lineup or what they can do, they want their flexible manufacturing resources and the rest they can sell off to give them some operating cash they sorely need right now. Not necessarily a horrible deal for GM but certainly the end of Chrysler.
Having an interest in seeing Dodge Chrysler and Jeep stick around for awhile myself I'm rooting for Nissan with Midnight. Not a whole lot of overlap there and and a wealth of available technologies Chrysler could put to good use including a very strong lineup of V6 engines.
*Note to self: need to write up a scathing post for the Chrysler Advisory Board tomorrow...
