Or dividing it... or selling to GM!

I never thought I would say this... But PLEASE, some foreign company save us!

Almost any one of them, really. It would be better than GM buying it.

NIssan made an offer today, to buy 20% of the company. From what the rumors suggest, this would be one of the better scenarios, as nissan wants an american branch, where just wants a few parts of the company, and the assets..not the brand.

at the media function with the ford guys, we talked about the GM ford idea at dinner, and many of the people there agreed that a purchase by someone like nissan or toyota would make more sense, as those companies arent in the bind that GM is in...

in all honesty it's not a bad idea. Chrysler is a faceless name excluding the 300

considering that their best selling models..the ram and LX cars arent built in this country, and before the SRT lineup the fastest "mopars" were the mitsubishi built stealth, talon, and laser...and the fact that GM is also bankrupt, i have a great deal more confidence in the japanese companies than i do GM right now..

not to mention, many many people expect GM to cut huge numbers of workers, from plant workers to salespeople. GM wants a few models here and there, and the assets. nissan wants an american branch..think about it.

nissan might change some policies...GM might close most of the dcj dealerships and most of the plants. nissan sure sounds like the better option, as there might still be a "dodge" after nissan buys them.
