Default Don't Sweat The Bad News

I have to be careful of what I say, because the info I recieved is private info from a member of the Chrysler executive board. I spoke with him in my capacity as a supervisor for the large financial firm I work for. AIG and Chase Bank (with alot of help from GM) are putting out alot of disinformation in regard to Chrysler and Cerberus. Yes, there was offical talks in regard to a buyout by GM. Those talks were broken off and there is NO MORE NEGOTIATIONS between Cerberus and GM. Further, in the executive meeting Cerberus officials stated they are going to hold on to Chrysler for 2-3 more years and work for an independent turn around. THEY ARE NOT GOING TO SELL CHRYSLER TO ANYONE. The bad news pouring out of the news media is coming from AIG, Chase and GM are the "secret sources" that all the news media is quoting. They are desperately trying to further depress the value of Chrysler to force a "fire sale" price and cripple Chrysler. Nardelli and the rest of the management are determined to stop this and turn Chrysler around WITHOUT A MERGER OR BUY OUT-TOTALLY INDEPENDENT. I know you don't know me, but please believe me, every word of this is true. This is no longer about money, GM and the banks tried to rob Cerberus and now they are mad as hell!

This piece of info doesnt surprise me. I mean GM cant buy anything. They need goverment money just to stay afloat. ChryCo's interest in bailout money is probably more a kneejerk reaction to the economy.

This is pretty much what Jim Press said in a round about way in the online forum that we had on the Customer advisory board site last week. Many projects are still full steam ahead.
