im actually happy to see the huge amount of interior tech stuff ford packed into the new F150. the reason being, that rarely will dodge let ford claim to be the only truck to offer soemthing, and the ford works system is very impressive..it will look great when its called dodge something or other, and in a ram..

Agreed. Now no one is offering V8 power and manual trans in a truck anymore. At first I thought the '09 V6 models had the option for a six speed but on Dodge website the only thing listed is 4speed auto, that's not progress it's worse. I get great mileage (for a truck) with my six gears. Maybe if the light duty diesel happens it will offer a stick.

ford engineers told me that they were still working on a diesel powered F150..but it was put on the backburner while they worked on the TT ecoboost F150s...and again, if ford does it..monkey see monkey do...

I heard Dodge delayed the light duty diesel release. It was set for 2010 but now will most likely wait until 2011. We'll see who does it first. But I'm confident that The Cummins out perform any diesel attempt from ferd.

yeah..the ford guys said that they delayed it at that time due to the growth in price margin between diesel and gasoline...
