Elberton, Ga, Resident Janis Thornton Wins New Dodge Magnum from Thomson Motor Centre!
Winner receives 2005 Dodge Magnum presented by Thomson Motor Centre, Thomson, Ga.
Auburn Hills, Mich., Mar 01, 2005 - Sometimes prayers are answered.
"I was talking to a relative of mine and she told me I would be getting a new car," said Janis Thornton of Elberton, Ga. "Unfortunately, she passed away, but then a few days later, I got the letter from Chrysler telling me I had won a new vehicle."
Ms. Thornton was the winner of the Dodge Summer Sales Drive Sweepstakes at the Thomson Motor Centre during the Summer Sales Drive promotion in 2004. Thornton picked up the keys to her brand-new Dodge Magnum on Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2005, from the Thomson Motor Centre in Thomson, Ga.
"I have never owned a new car before," said Ms. Thornton. "All of my friends are excited and are already asking me for rides in it."
Ms. Thornton entered the Summer Sales Drive Sweepstakes when she visited the Thomson Motor Centre during a hospital visit for her daughter who was being treated at an Augusta-area hospital.
"I was just there looking, and I decided to enter my name in the contest," said Ms. Thornton.
Nearly half a million entries were received from customers who visited 2,600 Chrysler, Jeep® or Dodge dealerships nationwide during the Summer Sales Drive of 2004. One customer per brand will be awarded a vehicle from each of the Chrysler Group brands: Chrysler, Jeep or Dodge.
The vehicles to be awarded are a 2005 Dodge Magnum to Ms. Thornton by Thomson Motor Centre; a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee to be awarded by Golick Chrysler Jeep, Pitcairn, Pa; and a 2005 Chrysler 300 to be awarded by Walser Chrysler, Hopkins, Minn. The Summer Sales Drive Sweepstakes was held from June until the end of August during the summer of 2004.
