in the past fiat buy and sale other cars manufactor as maserati, abarth (now yet fiat) alfa romeo, autobianchi, but never kill they products.

viper ant r/t are, about me, safe.

gianni agnelli (ex boss fiat) said:"ognuno in ogni luogo ha bosogno di un auto diversa" ... every one in every place needs a different car!!! so f360 and viper can live togheter, 360in europe and viper in usa.

if you see fiat idea and lancia musa: are the same car with little different. more fashion for lancia (all lancia) and economic for fiat....but are the same car!

any manufactor of the fiat group is "specializated" in a sector: ferrari for rich (sbruffoni) , AR for young and sport (1400cc 170hp!) lancia for elegance and fiat little expansive! the abarth is the "raced car" of fiat (and lancia some years ago)

i think that if fiat and Chrysler works togheter can born nice cars!

the engine iveco is only one example of the tecnology tha the fiat group use!!!!!!!

us and european car are very different
in italy the medium car is 1400cc with 90hp........ very few the car over 2500cc and the van are also 2500cc or 3000cc the bigger!

sorry for very bad language
gian

Here's what I read in a CNN Money article:

"On the day it filed for bankruptcy, Chrysler LLC had to shut several of its plants within hours of the filing due to suppliers cutting off shipments."

It's a good explanation as to one of the reasons Chrysler had to shut down factories. They carry very few parts on hand and operate on a just in time system.
