And why isn't it being made a big deal of. Toyota, such quality,, what all the car maker set their sights to. Time to get rid of my truck then if they are building quality like this.

I rebuilt a 1988 Toyota truck. The bed was WAY beyond fixing, put a fiberglass replacement bed on it, that should tell you something right there. I restored in 2000 and companies were making fiberglass beds?? Why, because the factory ones fell apart. Well the truck looked great, but that frame also was falling apart.

I would hope those issues no longer exist.

Well, my uncles 89 22R4 just broke a timing chain @ 107K. Unheard of according to the yoda dealer. This little truck has been serviced religiously (usually by me) and driven very easy. It doesn't even have a/c. They are an interference engines so the head has to come off to replace some valves. Luckily, he was coasting to turn in to a parking lot so the damage should be minimal. Only the rear bumper is rotted away. The bed is good because it has had a topper on it forever.

Huh, I had never heard of that. But after seeing how ugly the interior was and how stupid the handles for the rear doors were, I could never own a Tundra.

Timing chain on my Dakota 3.9L went at like 110,000 or so.

Dodge/GM/Ford for trucks. Cars are one thing, trucks are another

Because Toyota pays everyone and their mother and the publications wouldn't wanna **** off Toyota. Still fan boys don't wanna admit this.

Old news. Old Toyotas used weaker allows than their American counterparts.
