NEW AWD SPORT COMPACT AFTER SRT4

The Neon SRT-4 after its demise in 2005, will be replaced w/ two new models. SRT-4 versions of the Cailber Wagon (shown above) and Rebel Sedan (Caliber's Sedan sibling) will indeed have SRT-4 name badges added to them. They will feature another version of the 2.4L "TURBOCHARGED" inline four cylinder off of the new engine lineup that Chrysler Group is building for themselves as well as many other other companies. Power from the new engine should equal that of the current SRT-4 or be slightly higher. Don't be suprised to see the rims on the Caliber Concept reach the Caliber SRT-4 model.

so sick of seeing 5 door mini-suv's, they just keep getting uglier by the second... plus the mileage isnt going up on these, only down nothing like pushing a brick down the road. I guess I will be buying an '05 srt-4 before they dissappear.
The only thing I don't get about this vehicle is that it is so beefy. My Neon is sleek and sexy. I just don't get it.
I trust that there will be a coupe and sedan of this car. I also trust that the Charger will have a coupe too. JUST WAIT PEOPLE. HAVE PATIENTS, GAWD!
I actually spoke with a represenative of Dodge and he said the Caliber is STILL a concept and IS NOT official, it's probable but not official

Does anybody know if they are still going to make an evo version? The link below talks about an evo version of the neon replacement.

Why would Chrysler drop something they just put out two years ago and entered it in competition racing? Too much money involved in something like that. It doesn't make sense that Chrysler would get rid of the SRT-4 after putting all that time, money, and effort into it. Why discontinue it if sales for SRT-4 haven't been to bad? You kinda have to ask yourself, "Why would they do that after all this?"
