those are impressive cars, especially for their time, but none of them in stock form would keep up with a TT stealth...and i think that any of them, stock for stock, would be hard pressed to keep up with an AWD DSM.
I'm not debating that they could keep up with a TT Steath/3000GT, I'm merely point out that in the established time frame listed and the way the point was written, it isn't entirely accurate to imply that the only performance models were Stealth and DSMs (I'm assuming you mean the Laser/Talon). The GLHS for it's time was the leading in acceleration times and the such. It was faster than the Conquest that was made during the same time and that was the model the Stealth replaced (plus the turbo II Daytona was similar in acceleration as the Conquest based on a bit of research), so I think that counts for something for Chrysler.Originally Posted by BadStratRT

As for the AWD DSM, it depends on what you are planning on doing with them. As the normal rule of thumb with older American performance cars, if you are planning on doing straight line acceleration the IROC R/T would beat them, but if you were planning on driving on tracks with turns then the situation favors the DSM AWD cars. Furthermore, I would say that you cannot use the SRT-4 for the marking point as in many ways the GLHS was equivalent to the SRT-4 in the level of performance for the time period and being very much the predecessor to the SRT-4.
Even in a straight line the AWD DSMs beat them...
They arent peeling out during the launch, they just grab and go!
An Awd 500 hp carrera vs a 1000 hp viper...Viper would lose! Its blinding acceleration is key to Vipers win in a straight line but Even then its got to get traction first.
No maybe from a roll it would be a different story.
