Ram brand to offer factory spray-on bedliners.
#12
It sounds ridiculous but several years ago one of the guys I work with bought a new F-150 and shortly there-after he got a quote of $500 for a spray-in liner....
So he decided to do it himself... He bought 2 gallons of bedliner stuff from the local paint supply store and a drywall Texture sprayer.
He said he spent a Saturday morning prepping the bed and masking off the truck and Saturday afternoon he sprayed it with the texture gun.....
I know it sounds crazy but I have to say it still looks great. even now, years later. It went on thick, has a nice texture that closely matches any other spray-in I've seen and has held up nicely to his hunting and 4-wheeling hobbies.
In the end he said he had a little over $150 in the whole thing and saved over $300 had he paid somebody else to do it.
Very interesting Do-It-Yourself.....
