Dodge recalling Challenger, Charger, Ram
I think your article hit the nail on the head. I bought a brand new Ford Ranger several years ago and from the first mile (actually it was mile 9 when I bought it), I could take the key out of the ignition cylinder when the truck was still on and running. In the 30k or so miles I put on it, I never once left it in gear or neutral. It was such a non-issue I didn't even bother to get it fixed under warranty. But, good for Dodge for making sure even stupid people are protected from themselves.
It's amazing that people would even try it to start with. Never really crosses my mind to pull the key out while driving down the road.
On a side note, I had an old 77 F150 that I could remove the key from while on and it was a nice feature if it was cold and wanted to keep the heater running, I could pull the key, leave it running and lock the doors. ( I found this feature when I launched the 460 and the key fell out!!)
On another not, I guess the Examiner servers have failed. None of your articles will load.

My dad's 98 Ram lets you take the key out with it running... Pretty handy actually. This a relatively small recall and it's nice that they're taking care of it, but you know everyone against Chrysler is going to shove it down our throats as something major.
