Sales up, but still not good
Since Lee Iaccoca, Chrysler has had a strategy of building sales to the rental fleets when business slows down. Everytime the economy, and car sales, have gone down I've read pieces like this. That strategy is what made Chrysler the most profitable company, up til the DaimlerSh*t debacle. The writer of this story really is pushing an agenda though. Think about his statement that sales should be up 15-25%. How does he come to that conclusion? We have 9.5% unemployment. As soon as the $8000 house welfare, er credit, stopped housing plunged again. There is no economic evidence to support any conclusion the writer of the story, or the bought and paid for by Toysh*ta JD Power's To The Highest Bidder representative made. Manufacturing across all sectors is up 2-3%. This is just another "Bash Chrysler" story to try to make Toysh*ta look better by making it's rivals look worse. Chrysler was gutted, with no money or product, by DaimlerSh*t or there'd be new products on the ground and sales would be up and they wouldn't be losing money on the loan interest.
The only new car dealer here in town has all the bases covered for American cars......the Town and Country Auto Mall sells GM vehicles as well as Ford and Dodge. They have a decent selection also. The only kicker is the taxes here in Colorado. A lot of people either go to Texas or New Mexico to save $$$$.

Every time that I see a newer Toyota on the road First, i get out of the way before it runs away, then I get sick to my stomach that people still buy into their deceiving ads.
Yea, back in the 90's, they built safe, quality cars that would run trouble free for 250K+ miles. Now they are problematic, recall bound vehicles built by a company with shady business practices when it comes to safety and recalls causing a bad public opinion. The run away vehicle problems was kept hush-hush for several years. The Tundra had this problem back in 2007 but ya didn't hear about that.
I talked to a guy a couple of months ago who owns a 2003 Tacoma. He said that he got a recall letter to take it in to have the frame checked for rust and if it was rusting, they were going to replace the whole frame!!! WOW!!
I think the Chrysler is heading in the right direction after being raped by the ****'s and would be doing even better if the the economy wasn't so bad right now. I would buy a new Ram if I wouldn't have just bought 3 new Dodges back in 08.
I think Chrysler might do even better if they brought back the lifetime powertrain warranty for a couple more years. That was a big selling point on my Dodge purchases!!!
Most of those JD powers type awards are often bought. There is no way a car company that has had so many recalls in one year could be considered a best buy!!!!
