according to an employee of Chrysler, the Trenton engine plant is getting equipment to produce a 4.0L v6, that will probably be put in the Pacifica.

 

Sounds like an SRT-6 engine for the Pacifica!

According to the detroit news the 3.3 will be dropped. The 3.8 will get reworked and replace the 3.3 as the base V6 for the minivan line. The 4.0 will take the current 3.8's place as the big minivan engine. It may see pacifica duty as the current 3.8 does. Personally I'd take the current 3.8 over the 3.5. My 3.5 can't get out of its own way. The caravan I test drove the other day seemed to have a bit more pep than my pacifica.

That would probably be a nice engine for the AWD version of the vans and Pacifica.

 

Just to let you guys know, the 4.0L V6 will be used on the Pacifica but on the next generation. It'll be 3.5L V6 bored out to 4.0L like DCX did on the 5.7L Hemi.
