what is the turbo for on a dodge diesel. and how do you know if its working?
i cant hear any winning from mine. i had at tapping noise and so i pulled it apart and found the back piston was bad (a piston slap) they said from to much fuel. can the turbo cause this?

 

Off of one cylinder? I would imagine it is a bad injector.
