Default Kenne Bell and Chrysler

Is Kenne Bell going to sign a deal with Chrysler for their Superchargers? I read something about it on this site but I can't find where.

OK, here is the deal... local dealers with the Mopar Speedshop... are suppose to sign a contract w/ Kenne Bell to release a deal where superchargers don't void out your warranty through the dealer.

I wonder if the Kenne Bell would be equal to the Magnum Hemi prototype that easily put out 440 horse and close to 500 pounds of torque. That test used the whipple and if it comes out and does not void the warrenty I wil be all over that mod.

"The Dodge Magnum SRT-8 concept vehicle features a supercharged version of the 5.7-liter HEMI. While the normally-aspirated 5.7-liter HEMI now used in the Dodge Ram churns out 345 horsepower and 375 lb.-ft. of torque, the addition of the Whipple supercharger pumps up the 5.7-liter HEMI to an estimated 430 horsepower and 480 lb.-ft. of torque. This provides heart-stopping acceleration, with the unique combination of maximum power at low rpms for driveability and ultra-high efficiency for top-end horsepower. Just squeeze the throttle and the engine will respond immediately, from idle to redline."

"Estimated performance:
Zero to 60 mph 4.7 sec
Standing 1/4-mile: 13.4 sec @ 103 mph "

I am all over this when it happens.

Off KenneBell.com

Kenne Bell has developed a Twin Screw supercharger kit for the exciting new Dodge Ram Hemi engine. The highly refined 5.7 Hemi is a masterpiece in engineering. It's excellent breathing characteristics and high power output make it an ideal candidate for supercharging and even greater performance for accelerating, passing and towing.

The Hemi made more power than any naturally aspirated stock truck engine we ever dyno tested
. And the mighty Hemi lived up to it's legacy by easily producing over 500HP with the Kenne Bell supercharger kit.

That supercharger is the one found on last year's Performance West Rumble Bee concept...

I have Kenne Bell SC on my 99 Grand Cherokee, bought it through a local mopar speed shop in 00' I only had one small intake problem which they got the warranty part for me but I had to pay for Labor! But for me 4.7l cranking out 410hp and 460fpt at all four was worth the extra 5g's!

I just heard back from Whipple on their supercharger and they are saying that the earliest we will see their developed SC would be 2005.

Default Good news from Kenne Bell

From Kenne Bell via email:

"were still having problems calibrating the electronics and we will not release any product unless it is bulletproof. We have been making good progress these last few months but unfortuantly this process is very slow, we appreciate your patience and your inquiry! (the kit will ballpark around $4900.00)
.......we're hoping to have something ready to release in the next few months."
