Possibly a 2007 Ram SRT-8
What Edmunds.com Says: Want a fast Ram but can't afford the big buck SRT-10? Dodge may have the answer with this Hemi-powered sport truck.
What We Know: As part of an expansion of its Hemi lineup for 2006, Dodge is considering a Ram SRT-8. The Ram SRT-10 is currently the fastest member of the Ram lineup, but it high price keeps its volumes low. With a HEMI-powered V8 Ram, Dodge would maintain its position atop the sport truck segment while lowering the price of entry. The Ram SRT-8 is expected to use the same 6.1-liter Hemi V8 found in numerous other Chrysler models so expect around 425 horsepower. As is typical of all SRT models, the Ram SRT-8 will feature a lower ride height, firmer suspension, larger wheels and tires and some additional body enhancements. No word yet on whether or not the SRT-8 will offer a manual transmission like the top of the line SRT-10.

Yeah, I mentioned that Edmunds claim about a month or so ago in the Ram section. If this new Ram happens to be the case, I hope they don't keep the Ram SRT-10 and that DC ligthens the Ram a lot. Also, they better keep in mind that the Ram SRT-8 is against the Lightning, thusly keep it a close price and keep the performance greater.

It will be interesting to see if DC actually builds such a truck. I can't see them doing it personally, since it would compete too much with the over-powered SRT-10.

I don't think it would make any sense to do it, either they make the SRT-8 ram and keep the SRT-10 which just means they fight each other for sales or the drop the SRT-10, but since they are suposed to be making an SRT-8 dakota with the 6.1 hemi an SRT-8 ram is kind of pointless since it would be more expensive and slower due to being heavier and it's doubtfull it will be able to tow all the much more than the dakota because it being lowered limits how much they can safely tow, also it's not like they would really lower the price all the much, I mean a fully loaded non SRT-10 1500 regular cab breaks the 40k mark, only about 6k shy of the SRT-10 regular cab.
