Default Will the Dodge Caliber Replacement Be the First 40mpg Chrysler Vehicle?

Check out BadStratRT's homepage article about the swirling Caliber rumors and the 40mpg future. What would you like to see in the Caliber replacement?

I would love to see the replacement for the Caliber get 40+ mpg. As the proud owner of a 2008 Caliber SRT4 that gets 30+ hwy and 22+ city it shouldn't be too much to ask for a new Caliber that could get 40 mpg or more. I hope they keep the name as well. While Chrysler is at it, let's get a new SRT4 model also. It's the most bang for the buck out there. Mine turns the 1/4 mile in 14.7 seconds at 91+ mph. Not bad for a little bone stock 4 banger ! Can't wait to put a Stage 2 kit on it.

wow is the Caliber srt4 is slower than the NeOns? That's crazy. my friends pulled 13-9s quite consistently in his stock neon. Must be a lot heavier cuz they have a lot more HPs under the hood.

If it wants to live up to the Caliber's crappy reputation, then no. I hope Chrysler and Fiat have their standards higher, like Ford Focus, Hyundai Elantra, and Chevy Cruze high.

It makes sense that Dodge is rushing to offer an over 40mpg vehicle. High fuel efficiency seems to be the number one factor on every auto-manufacturer's mind right now and Dodge needs to do the same to keep up.
