Ground Clear:..n/a........5.9........5.7........6.1.........8.1.... .....6.7

It's longer than a RAV4, but shorter than a CR-V.
It's wider than a RAV4, but narrower than a CR-V.
It's MUCH shorter in height than both the RAV4 and CR-V.

So it's not an SUV. It's a tall car.

Vehicle height is measured at the tallest point of the vehicle. Not at the hatch.

Caliber is shorter in length than the Neon, but taller and wider. Therefore, it's a larger car.

I'd compare interior volume, but there are no numbers posted, prelim or otherwise, for the Caliber.
Looks like you worked on that for a long time. I know where a vehicle is measured. I didn't say it was measured specifically at the hatch. But the hatch is the tallest point. It slants down.

This was never the fact of how much bigger it was then the Neon in the first place. That's what you don't realize. It was because someone implied it was an suv and suv sized and it's not. We don't need to go into extra lengths of measure here.

Yes, I did put a little effort into it, thanks.

And I do realize your point - it's not an SUV. It IS pretty close, tho - and the comparisons are somewhat valid.

I will contend that, however, the hatch is NOT the tallest point in the vehicle. In the Caliber, the highest point of the vehicle appears to be centered over the front row of seats. In the current Neon, the highest point appears to be in the middle of the car, between the front and rear seats.
