a mega cab with an 8 foot bed would look....kinda stupid

 

They are going to make it, it was at the fair today, inferno red with the reg 6.4 bed.

 

So was the Dodge Maxx, it's been at fairs. That does not mean they are going to make it. Considering what their competitors are offering, it's a matter of time before it is made though..

Some of you guys have been influenced by Dodge... a Mega Cab and an 8 foot bed... who cares what it looks like! It is about function and practibility. Grown men cannot sit comfortably in the back of a Quad Cab and those who use their truck to make a living need an 8 foot bed. It has never been about how it looks to those who work out of them!

 

Most of the market is made of cosumers, not workers, so looks are very important. Companies are represented by a good looking work truck having their logo on it, and consumers expect a good looking truck. Try to sell an ugly truck with just work in mind and watch it flop.

Yeah, but if you don't make it an available option your pissing in your own face. It should be an option for those who want it, how difficult can that be?

 

Not difficult at all for Dodge to make, but how much yearly would that line lose?

I think it is the Mega Cab with the 8 ft bed that is in question here. The Mega Cab's with the 6. 4 bed are already in dealer stock. The 8 ft bed could be out as early as the 2007 model year.
