No, the Chrysler ME-412 Prototype is currently being testing at the Chelsea Proving Grounds in Chelsea, Michigan this month. Chrysler Group will do several studies on the car to see if there is a market for these supercars. Rumor is they will build 25 of them for the 2006 model year, costing $450,000 a piece.

Sorry thats too many to build for a supercar. Around 1200 Dodge Viper models are made each year, and as my sources say the car will be more of an image vehicle. Besides, Wolfgang is Mercedes Benz CEO now.

I think I would know... I have been a hardcore Mopar fan my whole life... as well as know quite a bit about Dodge Vipers and future products from the Chrysler Group...but these are just statements said from the auto show... do you have any actual sources?

May i ask how this source is related to DaimlerChrysler? Cuz I have three people I know who work in Auburn Hills and one (an online friend) from the Pacifica Studios in California, that I chat to... So I am just wondering how acturate this source is?
