Default Question of the Week: Is the Hellcat Challenger the best performance bargain ever?

There have been plenty of performance cars over the years that had lower than expected prices, but the $59,995 starting price of the new Hellcat Challenger is just plain shocking.

Our question of the week asks you if the Challenger SRT Hellcat is the greatest high performance bargain of the modern era...or maybe ever? If not...what is or was the best high performance bargain?

I'd say it's a pretty good deal. For what you're getting it's definitely a solid price. Toughest muscle car of the market (and ever!) so I guess one can't complain too much. Still, I prefer the classics!

Compared especially to the way overpriced Camaro Z28, it is quite a bargain. A yesteryear LS7 with no real updates for $75K just due to updates on the suspension vs. the most powerful muscle car built in history at $60K.

I'm sure it is. Being that my house was only $20k more makes me wonder. Maybe they'll do a 30yr loan so that I can buy one.

Yeah we'll see which dealerships will sell t at $60k......not likely.
I predicted in the $70-72k range. I'm pleasantly surprised at the $60k-ish starting price....key words..STARTING PRICE.

I'm still predicting $70k range once they start hitting the floors with options piled on.
