New Police Cruiser!
Just talked too an officer and he said they will be replacing their fleet of aging fords with a new dodge car with a HEMI in it in JULY! Not MAGNUM either. So I called the dealer that sells police cars and they cannot DENY the rumor![sm=smiley20.gif]
Within the past year the local police (Kennesaw, Ga) have been replacing their Fords with the Intrepid - sans Hemi. I talked to one of the officers who said that next year they will be getting Intrepids with the Hemi. I brought it up on this forum before, but the idea was shot down saying it was unlikely since Dodge has no plans for the Hemi in an Intrepid. I guess this is one of those things we will have to wait to see what happens.
The officer said they were going to be rwd cars and not SW. So I hope its gonna be a sweet asz ride with a HEMI! Also the dealer did confirm that there is no 2005 Intrepid!
Rumors say it's a decontented 5.7 Hemi-powered Magnum sedan, for official sale only, called "Dodge Enforcer".
Y'all want cheap speed, wait a couple years and buy a used-up one from a department auction. No speed limiters!

hmmm... maybe that 5.7L compressed natural gas Charger body riding on a modified intrepid frame will actually be a 5.7 L Octane powerd stump pulling charger after all? We can dream.
Yes, but unfortunately DCX already destroyed that dream for me by announcing it was going to go into production, then pulling the plug on it and claiming that Chrysler was spending too much money. Meanwhile, Dumler was taking money from Chrysler to put into their own vehicles as well as buying up stock in Hyundai.[sm=smiley35.gif][sm=smiley7.gif][sm=smiley21.gif]

Well it will not be a Chrysler 300C because of cost, the Magnum RT models, might make police duty as K9 units. However the Charger isn't scheduled to go into production next year. Dodge was suppose to realease a press statement on the "Dodge Enforcer", a HEMI powered RWD LX platform car at the Chicago Auto Show in March, but they never did. I would expect them maybe to switch to Charger models in July 2005 at the earliest. I'll check around and see what other sources say... thanks for the heads up chfjim.
