Default A letter from Chrysler.

My neighbor has an 03 Dodge Ram pick up truck. Yesterday he got a letter from Chrysler telling him that his extended warrantee was no longer valid. It seems that the people who insure the warrantee have gone out of business. has anyone heard about this. I guess if we financed the truck from Chrysler it's there problem and not ours. Any ideas on this. ?

It could be one of those "aftermarket" warranty companies they are talking about. The ones that sell you an extended warranty AFTER you've bought the vehicle.........

There is a company in Florida that is sending out letters to Chrysler warranty owners saying that their extended warranty is no longer valid. It's a scam. We have seen a few customers coming in and inquiring about it. Chrysler sends out notifications like this on letterhead.

He has the same warrantee that we have ,He showed me the warrantee. It's not a fake, or second party. The letter looks official to me.

He has the extended warranty 7 years or 100,000 miles. very costly. It's not the free one.

OK ,Here's what really happened,I got this from the friends wife. Money bags her self. Thye bought the Dodge ram from a used car dealership. It probably was a trade in because they are owned by a new car dealer. They bought the Dodge thinking that the warrantee was a carry over warrantee so they had to pay for some reason over $1,000 to get the 7 years 100,000 miles on it. The letter was from that company that holds the insurance on the warrantee. His mistake was that after he bought the truck they paid it all off. Now there out over $1,000 Chrysler is in the clear.
