Keep in mind, this is not the Imperial we are talking about here. It has been moved to the Mercedes R-class now.

Rumor has it that the Challenger will not be the lone vehicle based off of the LY platform. Some say, Chrysler is doing this to save money, and not spend too much making a separate platform for the Challenger.

Apparently this other LY vehicle will debut around a year after the Challenger. It will probably be a sleek/sports car. Suggestions have been the new Crossfire and Firepower. But I personally think the Firepower is going to be on the ZB platform with the next Viper.

Apparently, this is all still up in the air and is just talk among those guys creating our beloved Chryslers and Dodges...

Well since the Challenger wont debut until the 09 year model.....its safe to say the Crossfire probably survives until then.....and then you see it being discontinued for the Firepower.

Or, what happens, is that something with a Chrysler badging will be a similar clone to the Challenger....

Cuda.................
Doubtful that they bring back a Plymouth name to slap on a Chrysler......

I recall hearing this....and it doesnt surprise me.......but it would indeed make sense and add to sales

LX Platform = Convertible 300C
LY Platform = 2dr 300C coupe....

keep in mind that there have often been rumors of a new 'performance brand' from DCX...named 'plymouth'...

i think that it would be cool, but i dont see them doing it...

Those would be great cars, but they might be LX cars.... Chrysler has bought the rites back for the name Cuda though.

I agree that a new performance brand would be a waste since Dodge has always been the performance arm of Chrysler. However I can see them bringing back the 'Cuda name rebadged as a Chrysler as a sister car to the Challenger. The name still has a strong recognition factor and would be a great marketing tool. I think we'll most likely see a new 300 variant, coupe- convertible, and if they build a 2DR 300 will they build a 2DR Charger?

The Viper I'm not sure about, but whatever they do I think it will put to rest the great Viper VS. Vette debate once and for all and they will build a car that will stomp the Vette into the ground-period.

The possibilities boggle the mind![sm=smiley29.gif] It's great to be a MOPAR fan these days![sm=happy046.gif]
