Ok, I get ya... it'll be kinda like the current Duramax (where the powerful one is only with the Allison auto, the other is with everything else). Only in our case, it'll be the chassis cab that gets the less powerful (but still WAY more powerful than the standard Duramax), and the regular trucks will get the more powerful.

Well, right now, Fords even with us as far as HP goes.
Chevy, with the available Allison, has 35 more HP, and 40 more lb*ft (but without the Allison, they loose 60HP and a whopping 130 lb*ft)
While the Chevy (with the Allison) might have better performance specs, and the Ford might have the same HP, we have the most important feature: Reliability.
So, even if the performance gains going from the 5.9L to the 6.7L doesn't give us the gain we expected (note HemiMan4451's post) in the normal trucks, we still win! Ain't it great?
