The SUV that beat the Durango is the 2004 Nissan Pathfinder Armada w/ the 5.6L "ENDURANCE" V-8 w/ 305 horsepower and 387 ft-lbs of torque, which is the SUV based on the Titan. So far the ENDURANCE motor has barely beat the HEMI "MAGNUM" V-8 in 1/4 mile runs. So look for Dodge in 2006 to boost horsepower in the Ram to 350, and add 10 more ft-lbs of torque to add to 385!

Bob, the Nissan is faster in acceleration because its transmission for the "endurance" engine is geared much lower, even though its rear end is close to a 3,23 Becuase of its transmission, Its actual ratio compared to that of the Dodge is 4.10 VS the Ram and Durangos 3.92, The Nissans both truck and SUV Also suffer from horrible gas mileage because of this. Every test has consistently proven that fact more than all controversial findings. Whats really funny is that a 4x4 Ram QC with 20s is as fast as the much lighter and lower geared 4x4 Titan. (everyone also forgets that the durangos engine is slightly de-tuned in comparison to the rams 345. Other factors that many dont take into consideration of all these comparisons is that Both GM 6.0 and Nissans Endurance engines are of significantly higher compression ratios than the current Dodge 5.7 Hemi, Proving furthermore that The Hemi is far superior. And for people worried about the SRT-10 VS F-150, If a whole second down the 1/4 mile isnt that much of a difference. (In a heavier truck) than they dont know racing. AN SRT-10 with 600lbs in the bed, has accomplished a 13.6 1/4 Mile time, The best stock lightning run that I have ever scene was not that fast.

AND it's all about learning your vehicle, how hard is it to stomp on the gas pedal and stay in a straight line, vs. know what RPMs to drop the clutch, knowong when to shift, and of course how much weight to stick the back to keep those wheels down.

Well we know the Sierra and Silverado get all-new models in 2006, on the new GMT900 platform, however know one is sure when or if the Tahoe (Yukon) and Suburban (Yukon XL) will debut in 2006 or 2007? But the news is to see a new Escalade in 2007 as a 2008 model, with an optional V-10!

never mind I didn't read it thorough, "however know one is sure when or if the Tahoe (Yukon) and Suburban (Yukon XL) will debut in 2006 or 2007?" but what is the if all about?
