Production Event... This Coming Week!
they must be releasing conservative numbers on the SRT-8 cause low 5 seconds 0-60 and high 13's in the 1/4 mile sound high for that car, seen as low as 5.3 for the 0-60 in car and driver and many people are getting high 13's in the 1/4 mile stock, even the magnum which is 100 pounds heavier can do high 13's stock.
I was reading an article somewhere about one of the guys who worked to design the new 6.1 litre and he said that the numbers they released were indeed conservative. He wanted to sandbag it a little bit so that he can underpromise and outperform.
yeah, definatly better than they go conservative and beat it by a lot than to promise more than a car can typicaly do, fortunatly chrysler seems to go conservative, the SRT-4 they say 0-60 in 5.8, all the magazines say 5.3-5.4, the 300C/magnum RT they say 6.3 and the magazines all say 5.3-5.9, betting the SRT-8 will hit closer to what the magnum SRT-8 concept was said to do which was 0-60 in 4.7 and a 1/4 mile time of 13.4.
