My favorite part of that review that is totally true and will make this car sell...
"It is the first car in a long time to bring some real style to the middle of the American car market, competing directly against a host of cars that are shaped like half-dissolved lozenges."

I like the styling myself. You know I'm beginning to think that the reason why this and the Chrysler has been receiving such bad press is that the magazines know that these are actually really competitive. The magazines occasionally like to prop up cars that they know are bound to be failures and trash the competitive ones. Just look at Edmunds review of the 2000 Impala vs. their review of the 1997 Malibu. They loved the Malibu (a failure) and hated the Impala (a success). In 2000-01, MT compared a Taurus vs. an Impala vs. an Intrepid ES. They chose the Taurus as the victor and the Intrepid as the failure.Anyone who actually believes the Taurus was better than the Intrepid needs to get their head examined, believe memy fatherprefers my basic ten year old Intrepid to his 04 Taurus SES.Even the Impala was better thana Taurus.
They are trashing the Avenger when I think the Avenger has the right formula to succeed (a powerful top V6, a innovative 6-speed auto, neat features such as the "Chill Zone", good quality leather, aggressive styling, etc.)
i prefer the stylin of domestics all foreign cars look the same. I dont know why ppl say that they outlast domestics cause now adays all cars are build better and last a whole lot longer than they used to, they also don't rust like they used to. I like the stylin but i would probably buy a Calibur over this just because i think it looks better
Jap's..Duh! They are still considered Imports. Just because a few of them are made here; doesnt make them DOMESTIC...They are foreign ran companies and will always be considered IMPORTS!
