in the article it says the 6.7 liter cummins has 305 hp and 610 lb-ft of torque, but i thought the 6.7 had 350 hp and 650 lb-ft. is this right or was there a typo in the article?

i beleive its 305/610 for manual transmission, 350/650 automatic transmission

This is confusing me as well. I believe that the 4500/5500 only have 305hp and 610 ft-lbs of torque; meanwhile, the 2500/3500 have the other output with the automatic while the manual is limited to 610 ft-lbs of torque.

hmmm thats weird. why would there be such a difference in the output of 2 of the same engines when the only difference between them is the transmission they are mated to? and it doesnt make sense to me to have the 4500/5500 with a lower output than the 2500/3500. but then again i guess thats why they offer 4.88 gears as a factory option.

my guess is that they were working for a certain wheel horsepower and torque...the auto eats more power

Drew could explain this one for you guys, but if I'm not mistaken, it has to do with the torque and the transmission......

I think Drew said the issue was that the manual couldn't handle anymore torque than this. It seems very odd to me considering that itused to be the other way around, but I have heard people complain about the newer manuals they areusing aren'tquite as durable as the NV ones were.
