Lets hope that Grodie Motors doesnt get theri hooks in Chrysler. Although as far as I can tell,GM is too damned broke to buy it. Everything I have read says that BENZ would have to take GM stock as payment. HMMM , dcx trading at 80$,,,gm at 38$,I dont see the logic

Unless of course its the other way around, as in DCX buying GM.
The way I understood it, thats what happened in '99. Supposedly, Daimler-Benz didnt buy out Chrysler at all, but it was made to look that way since they came out better tax-wise. Why DCX would want GM in the first place is beyond me though. Theyre still having to support all those retirees, and from the looks of things thats not going anywhere for a while.

Trust me, DCX won't be buying GM. That would be a disaster for DCX...they already have a huge mess on their hands with Chrysler and adding GM would probably pull them under. Plus, their whole goal with the sale is to unload Chrysler and their problems.

I don't care who purchases it, as long as they have the same desires I do, about turning it around and producing the best cars on the face of the planet in direct competition with it's imported rivals. I'm getting sick and tiredof hearing American auto manufacturers taking hits, closing plants, and decent Americans losing jobs. They should have never allowed free-trade. It's only a big pissing contest.
Anyway, lets keep this site updated on the merger/acquisition/purchase of Chrysler/Dodge. I would like to know what happens to it.
