Hi Everyone!! We are new members of the forum. My husband and I have 2 1971 Plymouth Barracudas. How many of you guys are going to the Mopar Nationals in August? We will be there with our 1971 Blown Hemi Cuda. This car is triple Black and it has an all aluminum 528 Indy Cylinder Head Hemi with an 871 Blower. The engine was dynoed by Indy and it dynoed at 1550hp on the first dyno. Indy detuned it a little to make it more streetable and now it is at about 1100hp on race fuel and 978hp on pump gas. My husband did most of the work on the car himself. The only thing he didn't do was the paint and body work. The Cuda has 18.5 inch wide tires on the rear. We call it Blo Fish. I hope we will get to meet a lot of you guys out at the Nationals.

Had to get that off my chest.... won't be at the Nats; just too far for me to go. Will be at Carlisle, though. That Cuda sounds incredible- we definitely need to see pics of it! Welcome to the board- hope to see you around here often!

I'm still undecided since they f'ed me over last year even after I preregistered and didn't receive my stuff to get in and all. And even after they saw that I was on the list and I could prove who I was and what car and all, they still refused to give me anything I was entitled to and had already paid for. They had the nerve to say that I have to buy/pay for it all over again to get any of it[sm=wtf.gif][sm=WTFsgign.gif], I already paid for it, they have the proof in their hands with my name, address, car w/VIN # and everything and I have my license and car right in front of them and they still said that and refused to give me what I prepaid for. The more I think back to how they screwed me over, the more I realize that I won't be going back to the Nats. EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NEVER EVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FU*K THEM[sm=smiley35.gif][sm=smiley35.gif][sm=smiley35.gif][sm=smiley35.gif][sm=smiley35.gif][sm=smiley35.gif][sm=smiley35.gif][sm=smiley35.gif][sm=smiley35.gif][sm=smiley35.gif] !!!!!!!!![sm=boosign.gif][sm=badbadbad.gif][sm=badidea.gif][sm=bangbang.gif][sm=chairshot.gif][sm=devilgrin.gif][sm=forgetit.gif][sm=headbang.gif][sm=icon_beat.gif][sm=icon_flaming.gif][sm=icon_stickpoke.gif][sm=loser.gif][sm=noooo.gif][sm=nothatway.gif][sm=shootshoot.gif][sm=signs006.gif][sm=smiley21.gif][:@][:'(][sm=smiley26.gif][sm=smiley7.gif][sm=violent053.gif][sm=exactly.gif]

We know what you are talking about. We usually don't go to the Nats very often. I am sorry to hear you had so many problems with them. I don't blame you for being upset. We would feel the same way. The only reason we are going is to get more parts for another 71 Cuda my husband is building for me. He is building me a 71 Cuda with a 426 Hemi and we are painting it Panther Pink with Black Billboards. It goes to the paint shop next week. If you would email me I would be happy to email you pictures of the Black 71 Cuda. I am not sure how to post them out on the board. We will probably take the Cuda to St. Louis and maybe Topeka this year. We may go to the Good Guys Car Show in either Fort Worth, Texas or the one in Kansas City, Kansas. Email me and I will email you pictures. Thanks.

I'd love to go to the Nationals again, but it's always on my wifes birthday so that's not going to fly.[&o]

528Hemi..i emailed you.

mitch, you have described why i dont take a car thee anymore...the nats have gotten too big for their own britches...the number of cars is out of hand and they cant control it...there was a factory hemi daytona there last year that someone was screwing around on a golf cart and slammed into the side of the car...i raced the nats 2 years ago...it cost me a hundred bucks to get in, and i got two runs...its so congested that even early in the morning, there is no where to go ride around to warm the tranny up...its beat. we will go, park the motor home in the parking lot, or take one of our vehicles and park in the fun field...but no racing the nats for me...

I have a suggestion for you guys.... CARLISLE! It is as big a show as the Nats (or so I've been told, since I haven't been there.....) and it is very well run and organized. The only racing, unfortunately, is an eighth mile track on Frday night, but that's about the only minus vs. the Nats.... and how much of a negative is it, if you're only getting in two runs anyway???

Back on topic, Blo Fish e-mailed me a pic as I requested. Since she didn't know how to post it, I hope she doesn't mind if I take the liberty to do so. It's a kick-a$$ ride!
