Default Bought an interesting challenger on Sat. - Pics in post 5

Bought a 72 from the original owner. It is a regular challenger but was ordered with the rallye hood and gauges and 340 with posi rearend. He also ordered it with air, power steering, power disc brakes, and rear defroster. It has been garage kept its entire life and is in pretty decent shape. It has every original piece on it including all powertrain parts. I'm gonna put a headliner, carpet, and new vinyl top on it and its ready to drive. Will require some detail work to be show ready.

Here are some quick pics I snapped yesterday. This is the condition it came out of the original owners storage building. I didn't even wash it yet. Vinyl top is going on this Friday. I love the fact all the chrome is there and very lightly dinged. I'm gonna polish and go as this one is gonna be my driver. Gotta love PS and A/C.

Has anyone heard of anyone buying a Challenger or Cuda with a anchor engine and replacing it with the new 5.7 hemi? I am looking for a decent body with limited rust to do this. Mechanic friend wants to install that twin turbo kit for the Ram Quad cabs that makes about 500 hp. Says he wants to build something that will do wheel stands.....lol.....

I've seen it with a 6.1 HEMI. Here are some pics I took at the Goodguys Charlotte Show. The car was on display for a local builder. I lost his card so I don't remember the name. Check out the cool billet wiper motor cover he made. I encouraged him to make some more. I'd buy.
