Default 360 Magnum into '71?

Would the Mopar 360 Magnum crate engine fit into a '71 Challenger? If so will it hook up to a FR220881 trans. 0365. 904 maybe? This is all my friend gave me but he was seeking my help, so now I seek yours. Thanks in advance.

i am not 100% positive, but ive seen plenty of new magnum crate motors in muscle cars...so i would say "yes". not sure on the trans aspect...ive seen them hooked up to 727s.

The crate engine will fit without any problems. All he'll need is a set of small block engine mounts for the 360. As for the transmission, I'm unfamiliar with the first one mentioned, but I know you can put either a TF904 or TF727 behind it. (I'd suggest the 727 as it handles the power better than a 904 usually can in stock form.) Modified, either are well-known behind nearly any sb combination, except I wouldn't trust a 904 with a built 340-360.
