Default 4 spped for 68 383 superbee

i am looking at the following 4 speed for my 68 sperbee 383 car. here are the numbers the owner has given me and i am having problems figuring if this will work in my car. THIS TRANSMISSION HAS 23 SPLINE INPUT SHAFT. WE ARE NOT SURE WHAT THIS CAME OUT OF SO DO YOUR RESEARCH. THENUMBERS ON THE TRANSMISSION ARE: H3 C99129; ON THE SIDE COVER - C95664/5X06; TAILSHAFT - 6 20/C99126-3. can anyone provide help. also what size diamater is the input shaft for the 383 car?
thanks Jerry

Cool,

Not sure on the numbers you list (do not have a reference book on them). But the 23 spline is correct for 383 and non 440/Hemi vehicles. The A833's were the same internally across the car lines, the difference from A body, B body and E body was the tailshaft length. Your Bee will need the long tailshaft version.

Hope that helps

Above the c99129 on the main case is a flat pad with numbers stamped into it, those are the important numbers...

One of the best places for 833 information is here
http://www.brewersperformance.com/orderinfo.htm
They explain the numbers on all the pads.
The external looks are all the same the internals are not gear ratios and syncrs are different plus front bearing retainers
are not all the same. Main Bearings are different also from older to newer transmissions.
The tail shaft and housings as stated are different as are the shifter mount points.
