Default Parking brake cable install

New to this forum. I need some pictures of the parking brake cable assembly from the firewall to the rear cables including the inner fender portion. I am not sure if I have lost some parts or the parts from Year One are incorrect. I have spent a few years trying to
assemble all of the parts needed. [X(]

Any pictures will be greatly appreciated.

Do you have a shop manual for your Coronet? There may be a good illustration of one there.

I have a service and parts manual but they do not have the detail I need. I also looked into the Year One parts book. Here is a pic of what I have right now. The rubber grommet slipped out during the install. Not sure if it is on the correct side or that the cable is routed correctly. There are 2 severe wear points.

Looks like your missing the cable housing. From the inside, I can't see where the grommet comes through. I'm guessing that it's an adhesive that's holding it in there???? Hope this helps.

Thanks for the photos. With your pictures and the Coronet I saw at a car show, I indeed have the
wrong cable. Given the wrong cable, there must be some harware on the foot mechanism to hold
the cable. I guess that I will be looking for some time yet.[&:]

Here's another picture that I didn't include. I have to get my hands on a better camera.

Mopartodd, thanks. I really appreciate the pictures and effort. I am really interested now in where the
cable sheath attaches to the foot brake. It looks like I will be on the hunt for additional parts.

If you can get a better pic of the above area, I will be really happy.

Is there a Tim Hortons dounut shop or Home Depot where you live?

I'll see if I can get my wife to borrow her digital from work. These auto focus cameras bite.

Here's a better picture off the cable/pedal interface. Gotta love these southern cars man.

Mopartodd.. Your pictures have been a great help. I spent hours going through the "left over parts" and was
able to find the clip that holds the cable. I also figured out how to install correctly the aftermarket cable that I have.

All is well now. Could not have done it without your help.

Thanks.[sm=happybounce.gif]
