i have these engine codes and i need to know what they mean

i found these on the sides of the block any help is welcomed

 

They are casting numbers. The first one is for a 1978 440 block; the next two are 383 blocks, from '59 to '71. There should be other codes on the engines that would indicate casting dates, newer ones will have VINs, others will have engine assembly details. If you can get some of those, it will further define what you're looking at.
