Default need a carburetor..new to mopar!!

hi!.. i´ve recently bought a plymouth GTX, it comes with a 318 engine so i have some questions... im looking for a big carburetor for my 318.. here in my country (argentina) the best you can find its a weber 48-48 so i want to buy a holley or something like that on e-bay... what is the best carburetor i can buy (it has a very good camshaft tuned for 7500 RPM so a i need a big one so it can breath ) do i have to modify the intake manifold? it will be used for quarter mile only... i need your advice please!! im new to mopar, all i have tuned in my life were fiats and VWs!!

Need a little help here.... a GTX? With a 318? What kind of GTX is this- an Argentinian export model? If not, why does it have a 318? Should be a 440 or a Hemi if it's an American spec car. What year is it? Got any pics?

Ah yes, the picture becomes clearer now.... what's known as a GTX in Argentina is a Valiant Scamp here in the US. If you want to change over to a 4 bbl, you will need to change the intake.... but that won't gain you all that much power, because the heads would still be stock 318 heads, and just won't flow enough to give you any big HP gains. For that, you'd need to change over to better heads. If you're willing to go to that much trouble, why not hunt down a 340 or 360 for it? It's a bolt in swap, and would gain you a lot of power for not a lot of additional money. Of course, I have no idea what the parts availabilty of anything is in Argentina.... I'm afraid you're on your own there!
