thank you!
thank you!
Need a little help here.... a GTX? With a 318? What kind of GTX is this- an Argentinian export model? If not, why does it have a 318? Should be a 440 or a Hemi if it's an American spec car. What year is it? Got any pics?
here in argentina its named DODGE GTX in US i found that the version with the 318 canadian engine its named Plymouth GTX....it have the same specs, its the same car with different name...
Ah yes, the picture becomes clearer now.... what's known as a GTX in Argentina is a Valiant Scamp here in the US. If you want to change over to a 4 bbl, you will need to change the intake.... but that won't gain you all that much power, because the heads would still be stock 318 heads, and just won't flow enough to give you any big HP gains. For that, you'd need to change over to better heads. If you're willing to go to that much trouble, why not hunt down a 340 or 360 for it? It's a bolt in swap, and would gain you a lot of power for not a lot of additional money. Of course, I have no idea what the parts availabilty of anything is in Argentina.... I'm afraid you're on your own there!
